Welcome to RPI Racquetball's website.
Who are we? We are a group of RPI students who enjoy playing racquetball both for fun and competitively. Anybody enrolled at RPI can play racquetball on the team, whether you are a freshman or a grad student, experienced or new. Our coach, Jeff Schreiber, is a great asset to our team and loves helping us improve our game.
Though we are not an NCAA-sanctioned sport, we are fortunate enough to be a part of the ECRC (Eastern Collegiate Racquetball Conference). We compete against the other schools enrolled in the ECRC (currently over 30, but not all of them come to all tournaments) at various tournaments throughout the year. We also compete at Intercollegiate Nationals each year with hundreds of other racquetball-loving college students!
Practices are not mandatory, but highly encouraged, especially if you are competing at tournaments. They are usually held on Monday - Wednesday nights at in Colonie. There are racquetball courts in the 87 Gym here on campus, but they are in disrepair and also not regulation size, so we carpool to The Court Club each night of practice. Cars normally leave the Union horseshoe around 7:15 - 7:30, and we stay until the club closes at 10.
If you have any questions or are interested in joining, please email Matt Saleh or Jon White, our team captains.
